Cabaret

Introducing Franky- one of our cupboard children.

Frankenfurter, the "sweet transvestite from Transexualvania" in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" was one of the first puppets I made- to be featured in a Cabaret show. While the puppet turned out pretty well and had the distinctive "talent" to put his hands on his hips in a very amusing way, sadly he was also way too heavy to be an effective performer... so never did make it to "performance. As one of my "cupboard children" he still gives me a quiet sense of achievement because he led me to change my construction methods and try out a whole new range of modern materials.

"I, I who have nothing...."

This is another of my "cupboard children"- the cabaret singer Miss Margo Malloy. Elsewhere on this site- under "profiles" you will see the "new" Margo - completely rebuilt although you might be surprised at how similar they look. The main reason I re built her completely was because this early version of her was too small and the mouth mechanism was no where near the quality of the one I developed later. I always liked the puppet and people seemed to get a chuckle out of her- so it was inevitable that eventually I would remake her entirely.

International Cabaret- the show ...

HI JINX

(23 minutes duration) was the show specifically designed to appeal to the Korean audience (covering all ages) and with no dialogue in the September performances 2007.

It was a mixture of the classical, beautiful, spectacular, bizarre and amusing.

This show was a feature act at the Korean Kyong Ju Expo in September 2007 the South Korea page.

The show was performed with the puppeteer "out front" interracting with the puppets as a puppet himself.
